Although impressive, big-budget print projects became less viable over the years with greater internet penetration, these were still some of the projects I am most proud of. “I learned about things as strange and varied as ceramic production techniques, the difficulties of shipping things from China, and that Bob Newhart was not really enthusiastic about having his likeness made into maple sugar candy. The great appeal of the “off-air” promotional pieces for me was the sense of permanency; you got to hold them in your hand and they stuck around. Some of the items we had specially produced included toweling that was woven with illustrations, specifically-commissioned fabric designs, and network characters sculpted into business card holders.
