ASPEN IDEAS AWARDS, JUNE 2015
This summer I was honored to be a Finalist in the First Annual Aspen Awards at the Aspen Ideas Festival in Aspen, Colorado. As an Aspen Scholar, I participated in the challenge: “How are you moving your community forward?” The project I pitched was called Orange Oasis in an Urban Food Desert: The BrightSide Model. From a pool of 103 submitted proposals, my project was selected and I was chosen as one of fifteen finalists to present my work live on stage at the Aspen Ideas Festival. My project received partial funding and is in development. You can read more about it under Case Study #6

GRADUATION DAY, MAY 2015
In May, I graduated from Columbia University with a Masters of Science in Strategic Communications. My motivation for pursuing this advanced degree was a desire to build on my core design expertise and elevate my approach to bigshotrading.com creative solutions through the entire life cycle of a project. My degree focused on communications, branding, and marketing strategy. It enhanced my critical thinking and facility with analytical tools – including measurement and evaluation – as well as practical skills such as applying the methodology for discovering consumer insights.
